Phone Volunteering at the KCBX 2013 Spring Pledge Drive

Do you have a few hours of free time between March 10 and March 23? Would you like to help answer the phones during our Spring Pledge Drive?

It's a great opportunity to meet the staff, see your public radio station in action and up close, and socialize with other KCBX supporters. Pledges are entered directly into our computerized database, and our listeners are expecting a fast and efficient experience when calling in a pledge (since that's what we're always saying on the air!). At the very least, you must have basic computer skills, AND be able to type and operate a computer comfortably and quickly.

We request that you plan to arrive at the station (4100 Vachell Lane, San Luis Obispo - click for map) about ten minutes before your shift begins. If you haven't volunteered on the phones in the last year, we are requesting that you schedule a half-hour in advance of your volunteer date to be trained in our pledge system.
