Central Coast Voices: Archives (August 2013)

This week on Central Coast Voices we will be talking with Carl Hansen, Wendy Lewis, and Chris Aho from the Food Bank Coalition of SLO County. We will learn about the need for their programs for our low income families, school children, and seniors, and how that need is evolving. We will also hear about their programs, including Glean SLO which is bringing more fresh produce to the Food Bank from our local agricultural community.

This week on Central Coast Voices, we will be talking with Kathleen Karle from SLO County Health as well as Trina Long and Dr. Scott McCann from Santa Barbara County Health departments. We will be looking at the enormously complicated issue of childhood obesity and how our communities as well as our national government are working to understand and change our children’s health.
