Detroit's Outdoor Adventure Center—Michigan’s natural wonders showcased in the heart of town

Adventures come alive at the Outdoor Adventure Center in Detroit

Linda Walter, Director of Detroit’s Outdoor Adventure Center—Michigan’s first urban state park takes us on a tour of the three-story 41,000 square-foot Outdoor Adventure Center. 

Housed in a 115 year-old industrial building, hands-on exhibits entice kids and adults alike to hop on an ATV, virtually fish from a boat, snowmobile and learn about precious natural resources. The urban park encompasses 31 acres adjacent to the Detroit River.
