Dwindling number of Central Coast fireworks locations this July Fourth holiday

The number of Central Coast locations where you can see live fireworks displays this Fourth of July holiday is dwindling. Cambria is the latest location to opt out.

The fire department that serves the Cambria Community Services District says the permit was denied over fire concerns. Cambria has hosted an annual display for many years.

Morro Bay had been having trouble raising money for its display and made the cancellation official last week. The committee in charge of raising the money for fireworks in Paso Robles disbanded in January after the New Years Eve display, according to City Manager Jim App.

Where can you go?

Pismo Beach and Cayucos are still set to host displays in San Luis Obispo County.

Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Lompoc are also advertising Fourth of July firework shows in Santa Barbara County.

Monterey County shows now listings for fireworks displays.
