The non-partisan San Luis Obispo County League of Women Voters took a stand this summer against the proposed Phillips 66 oil train project.
The oil company wants to increase rail accessibility to its Santa Maria Refinery due west of Nipomo.
The League says it shares the deep concerns of many in the community regarding safety issues surrounding this plan.
