This fun and engaging art class series focuses on creating characters and animals while introducing and developing fundamental drawing techniques in a playful manner. Building on simple shapes and basic anatomical structures, we will be trying cartoon and realistic styles, exploring faces and expression, and bringing the characters to life.
Join us for the whole 3-week series, because lessons can build upon each other! (single weeks also available separately). Runs 10 to 11:30 am. Designed for children ages 6 through 12.
Week 1 - July 23 and 24 (W/Th)

Friends and staff of WYP will be sharing their personal stories from nature—captivating tales that highlight their unique connections with the outdoors. From encounters with wildlife to heartwarming moments of self-discovery, these stories will leave you in awe and inspire you to create your own tales of adventure.
Pack Your Picnic and Blankets:
We encourage you to bring along your favorite picnic spread, drinks, blankets, and chairs to create your perfect cozy spot for the evening.

Kick-off your weekend with a fun evening at Claiborne & Churchill! Every Friday June through September enjoy live music by local artists, delicious food and great wine! Entrance is free, simply pay for what you consume.
Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended. We are only able to guarantee spots and food for guests that have made a reservation in advance.

Concerts in the Plaza takes place every Friday night through September 12 at Mission Plaza in Downtown San Luis Obispo, with free live music from 5 to 8 pm.

Enjoy the renowned acoustics of the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa with voices lifted in song. This concert features the Cuesta Concord Chorus and our guest choirs: The Coro Nacional de Puerto Rico, and the Trinity Chancel Choir of Denver.
The concert will begin immediately after the last set of “Concerts in the Plaza,” presented by Downtown SLO, and held outdoors next to the Mission. Plan to arrive early to find parking downtown and enjoy the lively music in the Plaza as you make your way to the Mission.
