Jack Fischer has been passionate about programming classical music on the radio for the past several years. He graduated with a BA in Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara's College of Creative Studies, studying under Jeremy Haladyna and Leslie Hogan. As a performer, he sings with the vocal lab New Century Voices as well as the Adelfos Ensemble directed by Temmo Korisheli.
Jack served on the board and as Vice President of the M.U.S.I.C. Club (Musicians United in Supplemental Instruction for Children), a non-profit centered around tutoring low-income, at-risk youth from 2011-2013. He is currently the Patron Services Manager for Santa Barbara-based chamber music group, Camerata Pacifica, where he is in charge of customer relations and database management.
Jack is a passionate advocate for contemporary classical music and finding ways to engage new listeners. He has had the privilege of interviewing fascinating artists such as Claire Chase, Philip Glass Ensemble, members of the Silkroad Ensemble and more. He also enjoys learning new instruments and has studied trombone, accordion and Persian santur.
