It's easy to point fingers at the ways in which public schools are failing - but maybe we should talk about the ways in which we (the citizens) are failing our public schools. Consider being an emergency substitute teacher - the California legislature has made it easier for non-credentialed teachers to become substitutes by waiving testing requirements through 2024.
