Downtown San Luis Obispo's summertime tradition Concerts in the Plaza kicked off Friday evening in Mission Plaza, featuring the reggae rock group Nada Rasta.
"It's our first night of the season, and we have 13 weeks of shows so there's 12 more weeks to catch a show," said Dominic Tartaglia, head of the Downtown Association about the 19th year for the event. "Fourth of July we actually have a double-header starting at 2:00, so it'll be a great opportunity for people to come out and be a part of that."
The free Friday night event runs through September 5 and lasts from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Beer, wine, and food are for sale at the concert as well.
