Issues & Ideas: Neil Collins, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Festival Mozaic's 50th

Mar 9, 2020

On this episode of Issues & Ideas, we hear from local winemaker Neil Collins, named 2019 “Person of the Year” by the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. Collins visits the KCBX studio to talk about his background, changes he’s seen in the local industry and a coming new certification for products produced by regenerative operations.

Also, travel correspondent Tom Wilmer talks to Carmel-by-the-Sea city council member and business owner Carrie Theis, about what sets the Monterey County beach town apart from other cities; from unusual ordinances to a colorful history. Finally, we’ll learn about the 50th anniversary season of a local institution, Festival Mozaic. Artistic director Scott Yoo and executive director Lloyd Tanner chat with Marisa Waddell about how they’ll celebrate with concerts, dinners and other events all over San Luis Obispo County.
