It’s berry season! The rain is gone; the sun is out; the berries are poppin’. Time to put on the elbow-length leather gloves and wade into the brambles, right? Not quite.
I headed to a berry farm and discovered that berry picking is no longer a semi-lethal pastime. Just south of Buellton, you can pick your own blackberries and blueberries. No pain or involved; it’s a fun afternoon with the family. But I didn’t actually pick any blueberries – I learned about blueberries so I could do some of my own 'Playing With Food.'
