UC Santa Barbara has sent out its acceptance letters for this coming fall quarter to more than 29,000 potential students.
Only about 15 percent of those, however, will end up on campus in a few months.
The University says the number of freshman applicants this year totaled more than 70,000, making it the largest in UCSB history.
In addition, more than 4 out of 5 applicants admitted are California residents.
