Investigators are no longer searching a coastal area north of San Francisco for the missing Bay Area teenager whose Amber Alert culminated on the Central Coast last week.
Pear Pinson, 15, was last seen by friends and family members on Wednesday morning as she walked to school in the East Bay city of Vallejo.
Thursday morning an alert was issued and the suspect's car was later spotted heading south on Highway 101 near Los Alamos. After a chase and shootout with police in Solvang, 19-year-old suspect Fernando Castro was dead.
When the missing girl was not found in the car, the search moved north and on Friday morning focused on an area of Sonoma County near the mouth of the Russian River. That search was called off Friday afternoon.
The Solano County Sheriff's Office said nothing was found during that search to indicate Pearl Pinson was there. Investigators said over the weekend that they are now following up on leads and say any future search will depend on where those leads take them.

Pearl Pinson, 15, was last seen Wednesday walking to school in the East Bay city of Vallejo. Witnesses say they saw Pinson screaming for help as she was forcibly abducted, according to investigators.
The man suspected of that crime, 19-year-old Fernando Castro, died yesterday in Solvang after a chase and shootout with police that stretched from San Luis Obispo to the Santa Ynez Valley.
Investigators are now searching the Russian River and the area around Jenner, where the river empties into the Pacific Ocean, according to the Press Democrat.

A search was underway Thursday evening for the 15-year-old Bay Area girl who was the subject of a statewide Amber Alert.
The girl's suspected abductor, 19-year-old Fernando Castro of Vallejo, died Thursday afternoon following a shootout with officers in Solvang.
Local residents were told through a reverse 9-1-1 system to shelter in place Thursday as officers surrounded Castro.
Pearl Pinson, the abducted teenager, was last seen Wednesday morning in Solano County, bleeding and screaming for help, the Sacramento Bee reported.
The Solano County Sheriff's Office had received reports of shots fired in the area of the abduction and later discovered what looked like blood on the ground.
