UCSB Chancellor Yang gets 20 percent pay raise

UCSB

UC Santa Barbara Chancellor Henry Yang will make 20 percent more this academic year following compensation approvals by the University of California Board of Regents.

Yang, three other chancellors, and a number of top level managers in the UC system saw their annual base salaries rise to what are called ”competitive levels” according to official documents.

The UC Santa Barbara Chancellor is now going to be paid more than 389-thousand dollars ($389,340). Yang was among the lowest paid chancellors in the system and had a salary lower than a majority of his counterparts at comparable public universities nationwide.
