International Women's Day

This episode honors Women's History Month and International Women's Day, which celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Join us for a conversation between the Reluctant Therapist, Elizabeth Barrett, and her guest Shelly Higginbotham, about the status of women in 2020 through a community and cultural lens. What is it that women need to thrive in all aspects of their lives?

Women are rising in many ways, socially, politically, emotionally and fiercely; stepping into the spotlight and leading the way toward revolutionary change. Although women have always been an instrumental part of our cultural story, starting movements, developing patents, making discoveries and blazing new trails- but women have been widely ignored in the telling of our shared history- and their abilities have been vastly underestimated. Tune in Tuesday at 2 for a conversation with the Reluctant Therapist, Elizabeth Barrett, celebrating women’s accomplishments and place in the world as we honor international Women’s Day and women’s history month.

Never underestimate the power of women in community. It is when we are united that the quality of life for all - not just women - begins to change. It's important to take the time to recognize and celebrate women, history, amazing accomplishments and the opportunities that lie ahead. Tune in for a conversation with, and about, the not-so-silent majority. Your calls with questions and comments are welcomed and encouraged.
