Grover Beach police are searching for the vandal or vandals who spray-painted racist graffiti along the outside walls of a local elementary school.

San Luis Obispo’s California Polytechnic State University, more commonly known as Cal Poly, has recently entered into a debate over "disruption." The university is heralded for its science, technology, engineering and math programs, as well as its "Learn By Doing" approach to education. Disruption is a term often tied to innovation and technological advancement in recent years, but the disruption campus officials are currently investigating is tied to how the First Amendment is being interpreted on campus.

The  Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians is pulling its sponsorship of Los Angeles Clippers home games in response to recorded racist comments attributed to Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

The Chumash Casino Resort has been a sponsor of the LA Clippers for the past four years, according to Chumash media contact Mike Traphagen. As a "presenting sponsor," the Chumash Casino logo is printed on all Clippers home game tickets, and can be seen throughout the Staples Center.
