San Luis Obispo is one step closer to joining Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz in creating a bike-share program.

More than fifteen thousand gallons of sewage spilled into San Luis Obispo creeks and streets this week. County public health officials say the two spills—one via a manhole cover on Broad Street downtown and another from a mainline into Acacia creek—were stopped and cleaned up, but advise the public to avoid Old Garden and Acacia creeks over the next three days.  

San Luis Obispo updates zoning rules

This week the San Luis Obispo city council voted unanimously to update the city’s zoning rules. In a five-hour meeting Tuesday night, the council approved a package of regulations addressing topics such as building heights, land uses and parking.

Cal Poly students who signed up to live in a private bedroom this coming school year won’t be living alone after all. The incoming class is the projected largest in Cal Poly’s history, and that means more students will need housing in an already tight market.
