Penguins have resided at the Detroit Zoo since the late 1960s but in the spring of 2016 they were ushered in to a new cutting-edge, 33,000 square-foot facility that is ranked as one of the world’s foremost Penguin habitats.

Join correspondent Tom Wilmer reporting from Detroit, Michigan at the brand new Polk Penguin Conservation Center for a visit with Scott Carter, Chief Life Sciences Officer for the Detroit Zoological Society. The new Penguinarium is the home to more than 80 penguins including Rock Hoppers, Kings, Gentoos, and the lovable Macaroni Penguin.
