In northern California, evacuations have been ordered in Sonoma County near the town of Geyserville after a fast-moving fire sparked Wednesday night.
Anticipating hot and windy weather before the fire began, the state’s largest utility, Pacific Gas and Electric, cut off power for the second time this month to nearly 180,000 customers to avoid this from happening.
