December 7, 2011: Host Steven DeLuque transports us to Ohio for a tale that by all rights will be seen as fiction, but it is not. Think hot summer night, a collection of sticks, a few hundred candles, a dinner and some uninvited guests, a rebroadcast of The Enchantress of Sugar Grove.

November 9, 2011: Hosts Steven DeLuque and Crissa Hewitt travel to Atascadero to visit with furniture maker Roger Combs.

October 12, 2011: Kathleen McCarthy creates one of a kind lamp shades. Some of the shades are created from her own imagination and others are the result of working with customers to design a commissioned piece. Hosts Crissa Hewitt and Steven Deluque visit with McCarthy at her Morro Bay shop and studio.

October 5, 2011: This week's guest is Bill Gangi from New York. Bill is a miner and cutter of unique gemstones for use by jewelers and silversmiths. By cutting his own stones, he is able to control size, shape and quality. In an era when much of the cutting of this material is massed produced is it a delight to see Bill's amazing quality and variety.

September 7, 2011: Hosts Steven DeLuque and Crissa Hewitt sit down with Charlotte Alexander the new Executive Director of ARTS Obispo: The San Luis Obispo County Arts Council. This Friday, during Art After Dark, there will be a reception from 6:00-8:30 for her at ARTS Obispo in the Creamery at 570 Higuera.

August 10, 2011: Today host Crissa Hewitt continues her conversation with Rock Hushka of the Tacoma Art Museum. They'll tour the current exhibit "Dale Chihuly: A Lifetime of Inspiration" currently on display through September. This show is in honor of Chihuly's 70th birthday September 20th.

August 3, 2011: Today host Crissa Hewitt visits with Rock Hushka Director of Curatorial Administration and Curator of Contemporary and Northwest Art at the Tacoma Art Museum. Part one is a discussion of the museum's process of acquisition. Although this differs from museum to museum, it is quite impressive how many people are involved in the decision.

July 13, 2011: Part Two of our visit to PCPA Theaterfest. Today we talk with set designers Tim and Abby Hogan.

July 6, 2011: Hosts Crissa Hewitt and Steven DeLucque travel to Santa Maria to visit with PCPA Theaterfest Set Designer for DeAnne Kennedy. The visual arts play a large role in theater as they are used to create the world in which the actors perform.

May 11, 2011: Part 2: The tour of Storm King Art Center in New York continues with a conversation with the center's president John Stern. The 500-acre sculpture park makes a point of rearranging the artwork to accommodate new works and to give a fresh look to older pieces.

May 4, 2011: This week's show takes you to New York for a guided tour of the outdoor sculpture park Storm King Art Center. This site is over 500 acres and houses more than 100 post World War II sculptures by internationally known artists.

April 13, 2011: This week's visit is with Ken Shields, who is the curator for a printmaking exhibit on display at the Lompoc Museum. The show is entitled "Looking at Prints by American Women: 1900-1950." The works, 34 prints from 30 artists, come from his collection.

April 6, 2011: Crissa and Steven talk to Cal Poly Theatre Arts professor Al Schnupp.

March 9, 2011: This show is part 2 of an ongoing conversation with Santa Maria artist Bill Shinn. The focus is on his explorations of clay extruding techniques. For most potters this process was used to make handles for cups or teapots, but Bill has expanded the technique so that he can now create large hollow forms.

March 3, 2011: This week Crissa and Steven travel to Santa Maria for the first of a two-part program featuring artist Bill Shinn. Bill's primary medium is clay although he enjoys painting as well. He taught ceramics at Allan Hancock for over twenty years and now enjoys creating in his own studio and giving workshops around the country. His specialty is extruded clay forms.
