NASA's Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere, or PUNCH mission, was launched out of Vandenberg Space Force Base last March. The constellation of four small satellites in low-Earth orbit are now making global, 3D observations of the sun's outer atmosphere as it transitions into the solar wind that fills the solar system.
