Arroyo Grande Cemetery Tour
The tour, led by South County Historical Society President and history author Jim Gregory, will last about 50 minutes. The tour includes a Civil War Medal of Honor awardee, a young Marine, Louis Brown, lost on Iwo Jima, pioneers, “Wild West” figures, doctors, two generations of amazing teachers, immigrants, leaders, crime figures, a beloved grammar school janitor and the man who carved his own tombstone.
Meet at the Bennett Ave. wall of the Arroyo Grande District Cemetery, across from the United Methodist Church.
