Big Sur Foragers Festival 2024 will bring back its popular “Wild Foraging Walk and Talk” mushroom hikes, this time doubling the number of hikes to four over two days, Jan. 20-21, 2024.
Hikers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 20-21, at The Big Sur Lodge at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park for a talk and displays of wild mushrooms, then set off on two guided hikes of 30 people each with mushroom experts.
There will be four hikes of 30 people each, two each day, for a total of 120 hikers. Cost is $75 per hiker.
Talks will be held by Lisa Haas and Maryia Crabbe, who also put together the display of various wild mushrooms. Hikes will be led by Mark Gillespie, Anthony Gerbino, Todd Marcellini Spanier, and Phil Carpenter.
