The Morro Bay Art Center is proud to announce a demonstration by the award-winning artist, Dotty Hawthorne, PSA, PSWC, NPS, CCWS.
Dotty will be speaking about Plein Air painting with pastels, and demonstrating her technique and equipment. She is a master colorist in pastel, oil, and watercolor. She is known for elevating common landscapes into breathtaking unique and fresh compositions. She prefers to begin her painting outdoors, then then finish them in the studio. Her focus is on the light, and how it relates to the land and sky.
