Food, Agriculture, and Climate Change Speaker Series
Food, Agriculture, and Climate Change Speaker Series
The climate that once allowed the Central Coast region to become global agricultural stewards is changing. Increasing temperatures, intense floods, and droughts are impacting farmers' ability to produce food for a growing population. How are farmers adapting to these shifting patterns, and how can we play our part in building a more sustainable food system in our community?
Join City Farm SLO in June to tackle these questions. In a two-part speaker series, we will hear from local experts on the relationship between agriculture, food access, and climate change; learn how we can use sustainable farming practices as a tool to combat climate change; and engage in community actions that encourage circular and local food systems.
