Join us on Law Day to celebrate the role of law in our society and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession. Judges will provide information on criminal, civil, family law, and mental health treatment courts. Local attorneys will answer general legal questions. The grand jury will provide information on their duties and role within the County. Morro Bay High School's mock trial team will perform a mock trial demonstration.
Legal information and materials will be provided by non-profit legal services offices including California Rural Legal Services, San Luis Obispo Legal Assistance Foundation, San Luis Obispo Superior Court Legal Self-Help Center, Cal Poly's Low-Income Tax-Payer Clinic, District Attorney's Victim Witness Department of Child Support Services, Lawyer Referral and Information Services, and more.
