City Farm San Luis Obispo, (cityfarmslo.org) our town’s 19-acre non-profit urban educational farm, is pleased to announce its upcoming second annual Sheep Shearing Shindig. Come out for a Spring afternoon of entertainment, education, and excitement for folks of all ages.
The public will watch the process of sheep being sheared and will learn about the benefits of using wool from sustainably raised sheep and the activities of Central Coast small livestock ranchers. The event will include hands-on activities, including washing newly-sheared wool, spinning, carding, and felting.
