"The Princess and the Frog" Screening and Q/A with Screenwriter Rob Edwards
Edwards co-wrote the screenplay with the film’s directors, John Musker and Ron Clements. Set in 1920s New Orleans, “The Princess and the Frog” tells the story of a hardworking waitress named Tiana who dreams of opening her own restaurant. After kissing Prince Naveen, who has been turned into a frog by an evil voodoo witch doctor, Tiana also becomes a frog. The two must find a way to turn human again before it is too late.
The evening begins with a 5 pm reception, followed by the G-rated film at 6 pm and discussion with Edwards afterward. This family-friendly event is a partnership between the Cuesta College Central Coast Writers' Conference and the Palm Theatre, serving as a prelude to the two-day 41st annual conference on the Cuesta campus.
