The Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) at City Farm SLO is now accepting applications for its Summer 2024 Cohorts. Starting June 17th, 14 to17 year olds can participate in farm-based workshops to build skills for healthy, successful futures. Students will meet for 8 sessions on Monday through Thursday. Educational workshops are taught bilingually and cover a wide range of areas including health and wellness, leadership and team development, and career and college readiness. Ninety minutes of each session is devoted to hands-on sustainable agriculture instruction, and students can earn up to $200 for their participation. Upon graduation from YEP, students have the opportunity to apply for a paid farming internship at City Farm SLO.
