November 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of Proposition 10, which established First 5 statewide and created guaranteed funding for services and programs that support 0-5 year olds and their families. To date, First 5 San Luis Obispo County has invested more than $32 Million in that effort countywide.
Join host Fred Munroe as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of First 5 as he speaks with guests Wendy Wendt, Executive Director with First 5 San Luis Obispo County, Dr. Rene Bravo, Pediatrician and former First 5 Commissioner, and Yecenia Silvas, Early Childhood Family Advocate with First 5. We will celebrate the great strides they have made in the last two decades, highlight their ongoing work and discuss what challenges still lie ahead to close gaps in early childhood supports.
