Shawn Thorpe

Audio Production Volunteer

Shawn Thorpe began volunteering at KCBX in early 2014. He helps out with various audio production and engineering projects such as editing interviews or assisting with in-studio music acts.

Shawn is a graduate of the Illinois Center For Broadcasting. He worked in commercial radio for awhile after graduating and then spent some time playing guitar with different bands in the Chicago area. In 2005, Shawn took up podcasting and has been actively producing his own shows as well as doing post-production and technical consulting for others.

Desiring an escape from the harsh Midwestern climate, Shawn and his wife Jen moved to San Luis Obispo in 2006 and never looked back. Whenever possible, the couple tries to get out and explore all of the different places and events the Central Coast has to offer.
