The coastal town of Harmony—just one block long with a population of roughly 18 people—was recently purchased by Alan Vander Horst and his wife Rebecca for an undisclosed amount of money.
They're members of a local dairy family that's been in the area for three generations.
According to the town's historian and manager, the Vander Horsts plan to bring back some of the old time dairy crafts, like cheese making and even an ice cream shop.
Aairika Wells says the small artist community was never officially for sale which has some people confused.
"In fact there is a lot of people who are saying oh wait a minute, wait a minute, if I knew it were for sale I would have made an offer myself," said Wells. "The former owner has always says he wanted to retain Harmony."
That owner, a Beverly Hills businessman, says he was unable to give the town the attention it needed so he decided to go through with the sale.
The manager says the new owners would also like to reopen the historic post office.
