The SLO Beaver Brigade invites eager beavers of all ages to the First Annual SLO County Beaver Festival on Saturday, April 1 from 10 am to 3 pm. Kids are welcome and encouraged to come and learn about beavers with us. The day will include live music, an opening blessing by Michael Khus of the Northern Chumash Tribal Council, children’s activities, a beaver trivia contest, speakers, including beaver eco-hydrologist Dr. Emily Fairfax of CSU Channel Islands and Garrett Costello from Symbiotic Restoration, and a plethora of information on the benefits that beavers provide to us in our state and county.
