Cambria Bee, Butterfly and Bat Faire

Cambria Bee, Butterfly and Bat Faire
Celebrate spring by learning about our gorgeous, fuzzy native bees, honeybees, butterflies and their extraordinary caterpillars, the stunning diversity and colorful beauty of moths, bats pollinating tropical fruits and flowers (and the cutest baby bats!), and wildflower gardens that are a crucial part of our ecosystem.
At the Faire, you will discover the importance of pollinators to our food supply, our local environment and our gardens. Bees are essential for two-thirds of the food crops we eat every day, but they are dying at alarming rates. Culprits include environmental toxins from pesticides and other chemicals, habitat loss and climate change. Many species of butterfly and bat are also endangered for the same reasons.
It’s vital that we understand and appreciate our pollinator friends. We hope you will don your favorite spring outfit—wings and antennae—and join us for a day full of fun, discovery and hometown community.
