The works on display at Ceremony Skateshop for November’s Art After Dark will feature a process that is new to Carey Lynch. In these pieces, everyday objects melt into abstraction as a result of dynamic manipulations while capturing images through a scanner. This process is at times performative and gestural in much the same way the artist approaches the act of skateboarding.
