This exhibition showcases historic Broadway posters from collector Richard C. Norton, a comprehensive selection of musical theater posters 1972 to the present ranging from the famous to the obscure, from the celebrated to the damned. These posters offer insight into the evolution of American musical theater, graphic design, marketing, image branding and audience engagement. Far more than advertisements, they reflect the artistic, social and commercial contexts of their time—revealing how productions were first introduced, how stars were celebrated, and how visual trends paralleled theatrical innovation.

Exhibition runs from October 6 to December 5.

Join us for the first-ever Murder Mystery Weekend in the historic Village of Arroyo Grande - where history, community, and a little bit of mystery come together!

Over 15 local businesses will transform into characters and clue stops from The Curious Case of J.J. Branch—a murder mystery set in 1911, the year the village was officially founded. Pick up your "1911 Newspaper" from Monarch Books, starting at 10 am on Saturday, 11/1. The newspaper will provide the background story, character bios, event rules, and space to log your clues. Then visit each shop to interview suspects and hunt for clues to solve the mystery.

Submit your final guess to Monarch Books before 4 pm on Sunday, 11/2. Participants who guess the Suspect and Motive correctly will be able to enter a grand-prize drawing for the Winner's Basket. The grand-prize drawing will be at 5 pm on Sunday 11/2.

Family to Family class is a free educational program for families, friends, and significant others of people with mental illness. Call or email to register.

The Templeton Historical Museum Society will host a celebration of Founders' Day, the 1886 arrival of the first passenger train in Templeton. This day marked the town as the southern terminus of the train line from San Francisco to Los Angeles. 

Guests can enjoy the 12:00 presentation of colors by members of the American Legion, and learn about the history of the Salinan Tribe. Also:
—the main house, blacksmith shop, and railroad depot will welcome visitors, showcasing Templeton's past
—the museum will have antique vehicles, tractors, and railroad artifacts on display
—"hit and miss" machinery will be in operation
—blacksmithing demonstrations and music.

There will be activities for the young and young at heart, including cakewalks, games, and a 4-H petting zoo. As always, the Templeton Museum will offer free pie and cake, available until supplies run out—a Founders' Day tradition since 2006.

The Cambria Center for the Arts will be having our annual Holiday Exhibit, “Small Gems.” We're ending 2025 with colorful squares once again. Our talented local artists are creating miniature masterpieces on 8- and 12-inch canvases—on any theme or topic. Each one will be unique and ready to gift or collect.

The regular SARC Board of Directors Meetings and Club Meetings are open to the public, held the first Saturday of each month unless there is a conflict with a Holiday where the Meetings are held the following Saturday. Our Board Meetings are held 8:30 AM, Lompoc Restaurant, 925 N H St, Lompoc, CA 93436. Appropriate safety and masking rules will apply.

Our Annual Auction and Boutique support two local non-profit organizations. This year’s recipients are: CASA and Honor Flight of the Central Coast. Admission is free and doors open at 1 pm. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience beautiful fabric artistry and gift ideas for all occasions.
