Public Radio Music Day

Public Radio Music Day is Wednesday, November 10!

The U.S. Congress has declared November 10, 2021, Public Radio Music Day to recognize the local and nationwide value of public radio music stations. KCBX is proud to be a part of that system, which inspires musical discovery, encourages artistic innovation, and supports personal enrichment and local musicians and performing organizations. Join us on the air Wednesday for this special day that unites listeners, music-makers, and radio stations in celebration of the power of public radio music.

Get involved and learn more:

  • Read the Congressional Resolutions
  • Radio Music Day is a project led by the noncomMUSIC Alliance. Learn more about the Alliance.
  • Join the movement! Make a post on social media about what public radio music and KCBX mean to you, using the hashtag #LovePublicRadioMusic and follow that hashtag to see what others are saying, too!
  • Celebrate by listening to KCBX. This Wednesday we will be emphasizing local performers during our music shows. Programs that will feature local musicians include The Morning Cup with Neal Losey from 9:00 a.m. to noon; KCBX In Concert with Craig Russell from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.; Classical Showcase with Rob Kimball from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. and The Cutting Edge with Ron Eminhizer from 10:00 p.m. to midnight.
