Search crews have had no success looking for the body of a man swept out to sea Sunday during a baptism at the Guadalupe Dunes beach, directly west of Santa Maria.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, California State Parks water rescue, and the US Coast Guard are the agencies working to locate the man.

On Monday morning, crews had reports of a body in the surf which turned out to be fishing buoys.

Sunday morning, just before 10:00 a.m., three people were knocked down by surf at the beach during a Baptism. Two made it back to shore, but the one man is still missing.
