Central Coast Voices: air date 01-02-2014

The Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA program, works to support children in the foster care system. CASA started a mentor program which serves the needs of youth who have aged-out of the system and are at high risk of failing in the transition to adulthood. January is "National Mentor Month" and our guests Melanie Barket, Katie Robinson, and Patti Busick Smith will talk with host Fred Munroe about the value of mentoring and how one can make a major difference in the success of a young adult coming out of the foster care system.

Fred Munroe is a co-host of the KCBX talk show Central Coast Voices, heard every Thursday afternoon from 1:00-2:00. Fred has successfully divided his time as a local entrepreneur, political leader, and communicator. He owns and manages two local firms addressing personal travel planning and public transportation; Travel With Fred and Ridership Development Consultants.
