Larry Newland, operations manager for the Morro Bay Maritime Museum, talks with correspondent Tom Wilmer about a historic World War II U.S. Army Air Force rescue crash boat that’s open for tours on the Morro Bay waterfront.
Newland also talks about the museum’s other nautical stars, including a deep-sea rescue submarine and the tugboat Alma that was a hero of WWII, when it rescued survivors of an oil tanker sunk by a Japanese submarine four miles off the coast of Cambria.
