The Friends of El Moro Elfin Forest (FEMEF) in Los Osos is the nonprofit responsible for maintaining the Elfin Forest, a nature preserve at the north end of Los Osos
For 25 years, Yolanda Waddell, a founding FEMEF member, has been the lead editor of our quarterly newsletter, the "Oakleaves" (Fall issue: https://www.elfin-forest.org/library/oakleaves/archives/2024-09.pdf). Along with other long-time editors, she will be stepping down after the Winter issue.
We are now searching for a new editorial team, including two text editors and a photo editor, but more help is always welcome. This could be a great opportunity for someone who likes writing, photography, or graphic design and enjoys the Elfin Forest.
