Cal Poly Music Department music technology and composition students will present “RSVP: Soundings” in the Pavilion of the Performing Arts Center. The shows will be a collaboration with guest ensemble line upon line to premiere original interdisciplinary work for percussion, electronics, and dance. “In preparation for the shows, the students have been investigating the role of AI in the creation of music, including its implications on culture, automation, and what it means to be sentient,” said Julie Herndon, the faculty director.
