Concerts in the Plaza takes place every Friday night through September 12 at Mission Plaza in Downtown San Luis Obispo, with free live music from 5 to 8 pm.
The 2025 Summer Music Festival opens with an exciting and varied chamber music program. A string quintet by Classical master Haydn opens the concert, followed by American composer Florence Price's piano quintet. Works by Czech composer Erwin Schulhoff and Hungarian composer Ernő Dohnányi are lesser known but equally as incredible and round out this opening concert.
Set in the 1930s Golden Age of Hollywood film, this all-new production explores the power dynamic of the sexes through innovative direction by Mo Zhou, conducted by Christian Reif.

This class will focus on drawing, but bring the medium you feel most comfortable with, if you need an easel, board or table, bring them. We will cover your state of mind, gesture drawing, form, and fabric. We will supply the costumed model, chairs and water. 25 artists only. On July 19th and 20th at Nipomo High School, the Central Coast Cactus & Succulent Society is hosting its 17th Annual Succulent Show and Sale, featuring a dozen vendors and hundreds of specimen plants on display. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
