Local non-profit gets clean drinking water to remote villages around the world

Lifewater International

San Luis Obispo-based Lifewater International recently brought clean, accessible drinking water to a remote village in Ethiopia and will soon do the same thing for another village in Uganda. There are also operations going on in the Congo and Malawi.

Justin Narducci is Lifewater's CEO. He discusses the organization's evolution from humble beginnings in Baja California and Southern California, to its much larger scope today.

Narducci says teaching proper hygiene and sanitation go a long way in correcting the problem, but so is building proper water distribution centers.

The organization estimates that millions of people have been served by their work to end the global water and sanitation crisis.

Lifewater International was founded in 1977 and is a Christian, evangelical organization. Narducci says, despite teaching the organization's core values, there are no strings attached to water programs developed around the world.
