What are the Real Costs of the EPA Cuts?

Broadcast date: 4/20/17

The new administration’s funding proposal has called for drastically cutting the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) budget by 31 percent in order to increase funding for defense programs and immigration enforcement. Yet, these cuts to the EPA have the potential to put many of us at greater risk.

Join host Fred Munroe as he speaks with Larry Allen, Air Pollution Control Officer with San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District (APCD), Kathleen Karle, M.Ed, MCHES, Health Promotion Division Manager with the San Luis Obispo Public Health Department and Lexie Bell, Executive Director, with the Morro Bay National Estuary Program about the proposed cuts to the EPA and how those cuts could affect federal environmental protection programs that protect our air, water, and the environment.
