Central Coast Voices: Addressing the HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C needs of San Luis Obispo and Monterey

In 1984, the founders of  the Access Support Network (ASN) witnessed an urgent need in the community to provide advocacy and support for people living with HIV/AIDS. From that point on, the ASN has grown and adapted to the unique needs of the community. Working toward a healthy community, ASN also offers prevention education opportunities and now also provides supportive services to residents living with Hep C and their loved ones.

Join Kris Kington Barker as she speaks with guests David Kilburn, Executive Director with ASN, Karla Quiroga, San Luis Obispo Co. Program Manager? and Andrea Johnson, Hep C Health Educator and Phlebotomist as they discuss how the agency strives to improve the quality of life and independence of its clients by providing support on an individual basis.

Broadcast date: 11/14/19

Central Coast Voices is sponsored by ACTION for Healthy Communities in collaboration with KCBX and made possible through underwriting by Joan Gellert-Sargen.
