Central Coast Voices: The SLO International Film Festival

The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival (SLOIFF) is just around the corner. As a premiere six-day annual event, the SLOIFF showcases contemporary and classic film screenings in a wide variety of venues. From cutting edge documentaries to tried and true cinema classics, the SLOIFF celebrates film on the ‘big screen’ by offering something for everyone.

If you are not familiar with the mission of the SLOIFF, it is to entertain, educate and inspire filmgoers and filmmakers. The festival's vision is to provide cultural and economic benefits to San Luis Obispo County by promoting the concept that movies matter, and that the art of film is a cultural force with the capacity to transform the lives of individuals and society at large.

Join Fred Munroe as he speaks with guests Wendy Eidson, SLOIFF director and Skyle McLennan, SLOIFF associate director, as they discuss how they provide entertainment, education, and inspiration to filmgoers and filmmakers alike, and share highlights of the upcoming festival year.

Broadcast date: 2/20/20

Central Coast Voices is sponsored by ACTION for Healthy Communities in collaboration with KCBX and made possible through underwriting by Joan Gellert-Sargen.
