San Miguel man arrested in high tech peeping case

SLO County Sheriff's Department

A San Miguel man is facing charges of breaking into local homes and installing wireless cameras in the bedrooms.

On May 18, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a home in the area of Bonita Place and Verde Place in San Miguel. A suspect was identified at that time.

After a month-long investigation, deputies arrested 34-year-old Eutimio Contreras Anguiano in connection with the case.

The department says Anguiano broke into three homes placing the cameras in the ventilation systems with a view of the master bedrooms. He's also charged with burglary and making criminal threats.

The Sheriff's office says the investigation is ongoing and is asking residents of northern San Luis Obispo County to check their vents for signs of tampering.
