KCBX News wins national award

The KCBX family is proud to announce the newsroom won a national Public Media Journalists Association (formerly known as PRNDI) award at this year's conference in Washington, DC. KCBX News reporter Tyler Pratt brought home the gold in a category we're not usually known for covering extensively—sports. Yet Tyler's feature on Cal Poly's timbersports had all the elements for a great radio story—terrific use of sound, humor, suspense and information. Congratulations, Tyler, and keep up the great work!
