The Amgen Tour of California is coming to a couple Central Coast cities next month and organizers are looking for volunteers to help out at those locations.

The nation's largest professional cycling race will finish it's third stage of competition on Tuesday, May 17 in the hills above Santa Barbara on Gibraltar Road.

The following day, riders will take off from Morro Bay on their way up the coast to Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey County.

Organizers in Morro Bay say they're looking for about 200 community members to help with minor traffic control during the start of Stage Four.

“We’re excited to be able to show off our beautiful city to the world,” said Brent Haugen, executive director of Morro Bay Tourism. “I know our local volunteers are as excited as we are to put our best foot forward.”

One-day volunteer positions are available in and around each host city, as well as positions that travel with the race.
